Ingredients for 6 people

flour 1 kg.

butter 200 g.

sugar 350 g.

four eggs

a glass of milk

a sachet of vanilla baking powder for 1 kg.

a tablespoon of grated lemon zest

a pinch of salt

Put the butter in a bowl and soften it in a bain-marie.

Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt and sift them.

Make a mound of flour on the work surface and pour the sugar, milk, eggs, lemon zest, and butter into the well.

Knead vigorously and for a long time until you get a soft but firm dough. Form a cylinder and join the ends together to make a large ring.

Place the cake on a well-buttered baking tray and bake at a moderate temperature in a preheated oven.
